The last books I read

Margos Spuren

Paper Towns by John Green - here , here
Quentin Jacobsen has always loved Margo Roth Spiegelman, for Margo (and her adventures) are the stuff of legend at their high school. So when she one day climbs through his window and summons him on an all-night road trip of revenge he cannot help but follow.
But the next day Margo doesn't come to school and a week later she is still missing. Q soon learns that there are clues in her disappearance . . . and they are for him. But as he gets deeper into the mystery - culminating in another awesome road trip across America - he becomes less sure of who and what he is looking for.

I give this 3,5/5
I didn't enjoy Paper Towns all that much. There were some interesting ideas sprinkled throughout and some of the dialogue was entertaining. All in all, I wasn't impressed.

Bevor ich sterbe

Now is Good (Before I Die) by Jenny Downham - here, here
Fighting back against hospital visits, endless tests and drugs with excruciating side-effects, Tessa compiles a list. It's her Before I Die list. And number one is sex. Starting tonight.
Released from the constraints of 'normal' life, Tessa tastes new experiences to make her feel alive while her failing body struggles to keep up. Her feelings, her relationships with her father and brother, her estranged mother, her best friend, and the powerful, bittersweet first love she finds with the boy next door - all are painfully yet beautifully crystallized in the precious weeks before Tessa's time finally runs out.

I give this 4,5/5 -
This book is one of the most touching and honest books i have ever read. A book that definetly makes you think and appreciate life. This book will make you laugh, cry, and feel so lucky to be alive and healthy!

Der Seidenspinner

The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith - here, here
When novelist Owen Quine goes missing, his wife calls in private detective Cormoran Strike. At first, she just thinks he has gone off by himself for a few days - as he has done before - and she wants Strike to find him and bring him home.
But as Strike investigates, it becomes clear that there is more to Quine's disappearance than his wife realises. The novelist has just completed a manuscript featuring poisonous pen-portraits of almost everyone he knows. If the novel were published it would ruin lives - so there are a lot of people who might want to silence him.
And when Quine is found brutally murdered in bizarre circumstances, it becomes a race against time to understand the motivation of a ruthless killer, a killer unlike any he has encountered before . . .

I give this 4/5 -
If you loved reading classic murder mysteries, this is a brilliant series to pick up! Definitely recommend.

Wenn der Sommer endet

The Accident Season by Moira Fowley-Doyle - here, here
Every October Cara and her family become inexplicably and unavoidably accident-prone. Some years it's bad, and some years it's just a lot of cuts and scrapes. This accident season--when Cara, her ex-stepbrother, Sam, and her best friend, Bea, are 17--is going to be a bad one. Cara is about to learn that not all the scars left by the accident season are physical: There's a long-hidden family secret underneath the bumps and bruises. This is the year Cara will finally fall desperately in love, when she'll start discovering the painful truth about the adults in her life, and when she'll uncover the dark origins of the accident season--whether she's ready or not.

I give this 2,5/5
This book was definitely not what I was expecting. For me it was boring and weird. I'm surprised that I was able to bring myself to finish this book.
